LA FAYETTE, Ga., Dec. 19 --- The body of PHILLIP BIRD, who died at the state sanitarium at Milledgeville on Sunday, was brought here on Tuesday and carried to his old home near Center Point Church, where the funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. M. Pettigrew. Interment in the Center Point Cemetery. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, William, of Chattanooga; and James and Carl, of this place; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Jay, of Chickamauga; and Mrs. Samuel Byrd, of La Fayette; two sisters, Mrs. Hulda Graham, of Ringgold and Mrs. Ludia Stanfield, of Oklahoma; and one brother, Levi Bird, of Rock Spring. ~~~ CHATTANOOGA DAILY TIMES, Chattanooga, TN, Dec. 20, 1924, page 3
