Dwayne Anthony Robertson, age 60 of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse L. Robertson and Nancy P. Robertson. Surviving are his sisters, Debra Smith (K.C.) and Jessecia Dianne Murphy (Paul); and his brothers, Lee Robertson (Debbie) and Darren Robertson (Allison). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Dwayne was blessed to have Greg Dalton as a special and faithful friend who was always there for him, and Evelyn Phennicie whose visits and outings he enjoyed and appreciated. Dwayne worked for Lee's Wood Products starting from a young age for many years, which his father Jesse had founded. He had the biggest heart and was always thinking of and giving to others. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and listening and singing along with real country music (with his pretty amazing voice!). Dwayne also enjoyed visiting with friends at Riverside Minute Market over the years. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Henry Fork Church of the Brethren (130 Doe Run Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151) where Dwayne was a member. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
