Terry Lee Arment, age 70, of Shelbyville, MO, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Salt River Community Care in Shelbina, MO.
Terry was born on June 11, 1953, in Hannibal, MO, the son of George Ellsworth and Hazel Doris (Lindsey) Arment. He was united in marriage to Karen Vannoy on September 1, 1973 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Shelbyville, MO. She survives of the home.
He is also survived by two sons, Brad Arment of Shelbyville, MO and Chad Arment (Lisa) of Philadelphia, MO; six grandchildren, Ashley Powell (Matt), Brian Trenhaile (Kylie), Maverick Arment (Hallie), Brandi Stratton (Jacob), Dusty Arment, and Chris Arment; seven great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson; his siblings, Patsy Mettes of Shelbyville, MO, Donnie Arment (Ruby) of Shelbyville, MO, and Jeff Arment of Shelbyville, MO; and father-in-law, Charlie Vannoy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bill Arment; mother-in-law, Shirley Vannoy; and brother-in-law, Jim Mettes.
Terry was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Missouri State Beekeepers Association, the North Central Missouri Beekeepers Association, and the Missouri Trappers Association. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his fruit trees, beekeeping, and going to garage sales with John Smith. Terry loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and took great joy in hiding and hunting shells with them on North River.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 4 pm-7 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 10 am followed by burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors or Mt. Zion Cemetery.
