She was born on February 4, 1941, in Bodcaw, AR.
Jeanette was a member of Timothy Methodist Church and was involved with the Women's Ministry. She enjoyed farming and it gave her great joy. She loved her family very much, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She always told her grandchildren that "If you can put salt on a squirrel's tail, you could catch him." Then she would watch them chasing squirrels around her yard. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Jackson; two sons, Kenny Barkhimer and Marco Barkhimer; a grandson, Joshua Barkhimer; her parents, Orville Phillips and Mureen McNatt-Betts-Phillips; two sisters, Doris King (Cookie) and Marie Betts-O'Keefe-Harris; and a brother, Lee Betts.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Donnie Glen Barkhimer (Marie) of Camden; three stepsons: David Jackson (Lynn) of Cartersville, GA, Tony Jackson (Amy) of Vicksburg, MS, and Jeff Jackson (Lyn) of Searcy; her daughter-in-law, Renee Plunk (James) of Camden; thirteen grandchildren: Donnie Barkhimer, Jr. (Abby), Richard Barkhimer (Haley), Jenni Elmore, Jesse, J.C. Barkhimer, Kenny Barkhimer, Jr., Anthony, Lequita, Robert Plunk, Jeremy Plunk, Khai, Linda, and Dolly; her fraternal twin sister, Jean Phillips-Stinnet of Magnolia; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The memorial services will be held in Timothy Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers please give donations in her name to Timothy Methodist Park.
