Helen Juanita (Gardner) Blair was born June 23, 1931 and was entered peacefully into the arms of our Lord on September 23, 2023 at the age of 92. Helen Blair was more commonly known by Juanita or Corkey to close friends and family. The dash between her dates of life were the best. She married her high school sweetheart, Harvey, on February 3, 1950 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Juanita and Harvey moved from Oklahoma and settled in Pasadena, Texas. While Harvey served in the Korean War, Juanita worked in business and administration. Juanita and Harvey had a son, Daniel and she cared for the home and worked. She pursued her education and obtained a Masters in Business and Administration from LeTourneau University in 1995. Juanita loved to travel and visited various destinations across the globe. She had the opportunity to teach in China several times. She was a dedicated woman who loved her family and loved her Lord. She was a member of South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas. She adored her great grandchildren Thomas and Abigail. She enjoyed attending all the baseball and dance events and was their biggest fan.

Juanita is the last of her siblings to leave this earthly world. She is proceeded in death by her husband Harvey L Blair, twin sister to Ellen Oweta Skrimmager, Jewell "Sis" Cleo Chastain, Eual Leo Gardner, Joe "Bud" Erric Gardner, Finis Gardner, her parents, Dovie Pearl (Sparkman) Gardner, and Joseph Edward Gardner.

She leaves a legacy behind survived by her family son, Daniel H. Blair and wife Margaret Blair of Pasadena, grand daughter Danielle (Blair) LaFosse and husband Michael L. LaFosse of Seabrook, Great Grandchildren, Thomas L. LaFosse and Abigail B. LaFosse, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be on Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 11:00AM at Clayton First Baptist Church in Clayton, Oklahoma with Bro. Darrin Goode officiating. Interment will follow at A L Stephens Cemetery in Clayton. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
