Audrey E. Jenco, age 78, of Shelton, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at Griffin Hospital in Derby with her family by her side. She is the devoted wife of 58 years of George Ronald Jenco. Audrey was born in Bridgeport on November 12, 1944, daughter of the late Edward and June (Costello) Ezzie.
She was co-owner of White Hills Pharmacy in the White Hills Shopping Center for 24 years and cultivated so many beautiful relationships. She was known for filling her house with love, and having family near her was the essence of her being. Audrey loved her flowers, butterflies, cooking, and music. Mom had a passion for Hawaii and the culture after visiting several times. She will always be remembered for her kindness and love to her family. Her love and laughter will be greatly missed until we see her again.
She is the beloved mother of George E. Jenco and Sharyn Scully and her husband Gerald, and cherished grandmother of Dean Jenco and his wife Joy, Renee Jenco, Jaclyn Jenco, Faith Scully, and Ashlynne Scully. She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Ezzie, and sisters Barbara E. Baker and Lorraine Supchak.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM. On Monday her procession will leave the funeral home at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church in Shelton. Entombment will follow at her final resting place in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Derby.
