Illness Claims Life of M. Bath

Mort Bath, a resident of the Sunnyside community for the past five years, died at the Sunnyside General Hospital on Monday, Nov. 19.
He was born in Minnesota where he spent his early years. He had made his home in Yakima for 15 years where he worked as a roller man on highway construction until his retirement five years ago when he moved to Sunnyside to make his home at 201 S. 3rd St.
Mr. Bath is survived by his wife, Amy, of Sunnyside, five daughters, Mrs. Adeline Connelly of Copalis Beach, Mrs. Doris Anderson and Mrs. Betty Stans both of Elma, Mrs. Al Roe of Prosser and Mrs. Laura Howard of Nevada. Two sons, Dick and Harley, both living in the east and 26 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 24, in the chapel of the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Beal of the First Baptist Church officiating. Sacred selections "Rock of Ages" and "Old Rugged Cross" were sung by the Rev. Dean Young with Mrs. Young as organist.
Interment was in the Sunnyside Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
