Elda Mae Graham Asay Jensen died October 3, 2023 in Cody, Wyoming. She was surrounded by her loved ones that she cherished and loved the most.
She was born to Christine (Mae) Graham and Kirt Graham. She was born into the family along with her four siblings, George, Dorothy, Althea, and Ed, and later Vicki and Keith. Elda Mae grew up with the close-knit family in Lovell, Wyoming. Where she met Ernest Banks Asay and was married Feb 19th, 1954. Then came along the first born, Ernest Alan Asay, deceased, Mary-Christine Asay, Tammy Kae Asay, Todd Graham Asay, and Mitchell Ray Asay.
The family grew up in Billings until 1983 when Elda Mae and her husband Ernest, moved to Cody, bought the airport café and fell in love with cooking for everyone they knew. The couple then purchased E & E Café and then finally ended up at managing at Walmart, until Ernest's death. Elda Mae then met Gary Jensen, and they were married October 23rd, 1999. Gary and Elda Mae spent their time together traveling all over in their motor home. Truly, their home away from home. When Elda Mae wasn't traveling with Gary, she was grandma, friend and mother to so many, even ones that weren't her own. She spent her last days surrounded by her friends, family and a couple cans of Diet Pepsi.
She will be missed by so many.
Service will be Saturday October 7th at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center with burial to follow at Deaver Cemetery. Services are with Ballard Funeral Home.
