Patricia Ann Flanagan, age 93, a resident of Aurora IL and formerly of Naperville IL, Waunakee WI and Burlington IA, passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2023.

She was born on February 7, 1930, in Minneapolis MN.

At a young age, Pat moved with her family to Pine River MN where her father managed the Land O' Lakes Dairy. Pat loved her childhood and regularly shared memories with family and friends. She graduated from Pine River High School in 1948 and moved to Minneapolis, MN. Pat worked as a secretary at Brown and Bigelow until she and three of her friends including Maxine Kroeber, lifelong friend of 88 years, decided to move to Long Beach CA. In 1952, Pat met the love of her life, Bill Flanagan and they were married on August 21, 1954 in Henry, South Dakota. Pat always wanted to marry someone Irish and who was not from South Dakota. She managed to get one of her wishes and fell in love with South Dakota after meeting Bill's large extended family. After Bill left the service, they moved to Minneapolis, MN, and from there to Des Moines, IA, in 1963. They lived in Burlington, IA from 1966 – 1989 where Pat worked part-time as a Unit Secretary at Burlington Medical Center. She loved her job and met many forever friends. After Bill retired, they moved to Waunakee WI to live near Pat's sister, Joan and husband. She became an avid University of Wisconsin football and basketball fan. Her daughters have many recollections of having to be called back, because the "Badgers were playing." They spent 29 years in WI. In 2018, they moved to Naperville, IL to live close to their daughters, Ann and Mary. After Bill's passing in 2020, Ann cared for Pat until her death. Pat enjoyed being with family and friends, shopping, dancing, winning at bingo, traveling, and most of all being a mom and nana to her grandsons. She will forever be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest with her positive attitude, bright smile, and sense of humor.

Pat is survived by her loving daughters, Ann Flanagan of Aurora, IL and Mary Allison of Columbia City, IN; her cherished grandsons, Sean and Christian Allison; her dear sister, Joan (Duane) Lange; and her lifelong special friend, Maxine Kroeber.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 66 years, William J Flanagan; her parents, Joseph and Mabel Neuberger; and her sister, Lois (the late Robert) Ericson.
