"Graveside services for Andrew Jerome Blackmon, 34, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery. Blackmon, a former resident of Long Beach, and a resident of Dana Point, Calif., died Aug. 17 at his home. Born in Greenville, Miss., he had resided in California for three years and was a Protestant. He serviced in the Marine Corps and the Merchant Marines. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Patenotte of Long Beach; his father, A. J. Blackmon of Spartanburg, S. C.; four brothers, Andre F. Blackmon, U. S. Army, Korea; Samuel Blackmon of Natchez; Robert Patonette Jr. of Hattiesburg and Raymond L. Patonette of Long Beach; and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Figura of Natchez, Mrs. J. B. (Frances) Lewis and Mrs. William O. (Edwina) Lee, both of Long Beach. Visitors may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Lang Funeral Home in Gulfport."
