Wolf Point--Clarence A. Torgerson, 63, long time Bainville resident, died in Williston at the home of his son, Norman. Funeral services were held at the First English Lutheran Church in Bainville, Rev. Everett Tande officiated and burial was in the Bainville cemetery.
Torgerson was born Aug. 14, 1896 in Otter Tail County, Minn., and was reared in Grygla, Minn. In 1913 he came to eastern Montana where he established his home. He married Ethyl Simard in Bainville April 9, 1923.
Torgerson moved to Wolf Point in the summer of 1958 when he purchased the Pioneer Store east of Wolf Point.
He is survived by his widow of Bainville; four sons, Robert and Norman, Williston, Ronald, Bainville and Gary, Sidney; four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Oscar Nelson, Bainville, Mrs. Harry Casey, Wolf Point, Mrs. Monte Piercy, Livingston, Harry Torgerson, Bainville, Lennie Torgerson, Skeena Crossing, B. C., Canada, and Clifford Torgerson, Albuquerque, N. M.
