Bonnie C. "Cathy" Adair, 73, of Wapakoneta, died 12:27 a.m., Sun., Oct. 8, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System, with her family at her side. She was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Lima, OH, the daughter of Edgar & Luetta (Sheipline) Heffner, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 2, 1970, she married Bruce Adair, who preceded her in death on Mar. 23, 2012.
Survivors include,
3 children, Gaylan (Pam) Adair, Shoreline, WA,
Angie (Chris) Teutsch, Princeton, KY,
Shanda Lochard (fiancée - Jason McElwain), Cridersville, OH;
7 grandchildren, Gabe & Audrey Devet-Adair,
Alex, Sam, Collin, & Hannah Teutsch,
Ross Lochard;
numerous nieces and nephews,
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene "Skip" Heffner.

Bonnie retired as administrative assistant from the Lima City Schools in 2010 after 27 years of service. She was currently working at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum, Wapakoneta. She was a 1968 graduate of Allen East High School. In her younger years, Bonnie enjoyed horseback riding with her children when they were young. Her other hobbies included bowling, sewing, and making baby quilts. Her world revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thur. Oct. 12, 2023, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow in the Ft. Amanda Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Wed. and 1 hr. prior to the service Thurs. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
