Mary Frances Cox Hamby passed away at 'The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing.' She was born in 1924, made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ in 1933, and earned a bachelor of science adhering home economics from Murray State University by 1946. Prior to their retirement to South Carolina in 1984, she married Carman Leroy Cox in 1948, and the two of them lived in a number of places. They founded the Baptist Student and participated in "Pioneer Baptist Work" at Illinois State Normal University. They started 14 years of abroad volunteer mission work after her husband's passing.

She married Carman Leroy Cox in 1948 and they lived in various states before retiring to South Carolina in 1984. They were active in 'Pioneer Baptist Work' and started the Baptist Student at Illinois State Normal University.

After her husband's death, she began 14 years of volunteer missions overseas. Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers, sisters, and friends. A celebration funeral service will be held on October 28 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services, with Steve Street and Jeff Taylor officiating.
