General. He was appointed by the army as President of the Global 1978 autarchic Ente (EAM 78) set up to organize the FIFA World Cup in Argentina. He was killed in a departure from his house at Wilde, Buenos Aires Province, a fact that was attributed to the guerrillas, but there are suspicions that it was a command from the ESMA, to take over the chairmanship of the body and the management of the funds to organize the event.
