Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Leota Weikle
Mrs. Leota Weikle, 68, of 1370 E. Hickory St., was dead on arrival at 10:05 p.m. Sunday in Decatur & Macon County Hospital where she was taken by ambulance. She had been under a doctor's care.
Mrs. Weikle was born Aug. 29, 1889, in Hidalgo, a daughter of Andrew and Florence Jackson Hutson and was married to William D. Weikle in Decatur Oct. 19, 1907. He died April 24, 1947.
She leaves daughter, Mrs. Gus Fyke, Decatur; son, Paul Weikle, Decatur, brothers, Fred Hutson, Twin Rivers, Mich, and Otis Hutson, Fairfield; sisters, Mrs. Arthur Bower, Newton; Mrs. Bessie Purdue, Milan, Wis., and Mrs. Edna Dunn and Mrs. Audrey Dunn, both of Greenup; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, where friends may call. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
