Jewel Elizabeth "Libby" Fowler was born October 7, 1947 to John Henry and Ruby Lee Fowler in Temple, Texas. At the age of 2 years, her father passed away and she was raised by her mother and stepdad, Wilburn H. Cornes (37346347).

Libby grew up in the small community of Buckhorn, between Newton and Bon Wier, Texas. She attended school in Newton from 1954 ~ 1965.

Libby went to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday, October 12, 2023 surrounded by her family in a room filled with love.

She is preceded in death by Charles Darwin Fowler, who was the love of her life from the age of 13 when she met him at school and knew he was the one she was going to marry someday, her parents, four brothers, Charles, James, John and Lloyd Fowler, her sister, Rebecca Fowler Betz and one granddaughter, Caitlin Elizabeth Fowler (92479362).

She is survived by her daughter, Leah Golden, her son, Craig (Brandy) Fowler, seven grandchildren, Keri (Justin) Bell, Coleton Greninger, Levi Balentine, Eden (Jacoby) Fowler, Casen Fowler, Max Parker Fowler and Sawyer Fowler, five great-grandchildren, Jayden and Blakely Bell, Keegan, Cutler and Sincere, one sister, Marilyn, her two best friends, Vicki Thompson and Linda Fowler, along with her nieces and nephews and other extended family members and many friends.

Libby could be found in the truck going cross country with Charles until their children were born. At that point she became a stay at home mom until 2005 after her husband passed away. She went to work for the United States Postal Service at the Quitman, Arkansas Office as a rural mail carrier at that time. She continued to work until her retirement in 2022 due to health issues. She has continued with a close relationship with her Post Office family since her retirement including her route clients.

She was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren by attending as many activities that they were involved in as she could. She was an active member of Romance Church of Christ and continued to be until her health prevented it.

Services are scheduled for Visitation on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 6~8pm and the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11am.

Burial will be in the Romance Cemetery.

All services will be held at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas ~
