Phyllis Stubblefield, age 80, of Stafford, Virginia passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Stubblefield; her son, Christopher and his wife, Lisa; her daughter, Jennifer and her wife, Wendy; and her brother in-law, James Stubblefield. Phyllis will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Kyle and his wife, Meagan, Brandy and her husband, Nathaniel, Brooke and Blair; her four great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stuart and Pearl Balderson; and her sister, Mary Balderson Waddell. Phyllis worked different jobs throughout her younger years, mostly in retail, but loved nothing more than being a homemaker to her husband and children. She enjoyed needlework and tending to her flower gardens. She was spontaneous, outgoing and friendly to everyone. Phyllis was very active in the Sunday School Class at Mount Ararat Church and will be missed deeply by all that knew her. A graveside service for Phyllis will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rappahannock Baptist Church, 9981 Newland Road, Warsaw, VA. Her Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
