Mr. Shriver served with the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Claridon Twp. He retired from COE Manufacturing in Painesville in 1997. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, photography, genealogy, and bead craft; his greatest love was spending time with his friends and family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, William (Rebecca) Shriver Jr. of Hambden Twp and Richard Shriver of AZ; daughter, Patricia (David) Rupert of Rock Creek; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers Lawrence Shriver of Eastlake and Don (Sheila) of Cleveland and many extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Delores A. (nee: Giancola); 2 brothers, 3 sisters and 1 sister-in-law.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. held at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. A private burial will be held at Hambden Township Cemetery.
