Donald Edward Stangland, 69, of Bend, Ore., died June 18, 2001 of cancer.
He was born Feb. 16, 1932, the son of Gabrial and Olga Stangland.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 in the Pacific.
He graduated from Oregon State College in 1960 and married Jacquelin Kight in 1961 in Salem.
He worked for more than 30 years as a Human Resources Manager.
In Bend, he worked for Diamond/Brooks-Scanlon, Advanced Power Technology and Fortune Consultants and retired in March of 2001.
