Josephine Fogleman Obituary

Passed on from this life on July 17, 2009 to meet the love of her life William G. Fogleman, whose death preceded hers in 1999. Born May 5, 1919 in Honolulu, Hawaii, she spent her childhood and many of her adult years there. Married to Oliver Ahyo, Josephine produced two beautiful children, Sara Spears and Terry Ahyo. There after Josephine met Bill Fogleman and they soon married. That union produced three sons, William G. III (who passed on in 1991), Wayne and Ray Fogleman. Theirs was a long, happy relationship. Josephine was a gentle, giving person, living a full, rich life. She felt at home in the garden, just as she did in the kitchen. Her garden is a sanctuary welcoming all to visit, relax and revitalize the soul with it's unending beauty. Josephine was an amazing cook. Being raised in Hawaii enabled her to prepare a wonderful array of cuisines, enjoyed by all. Josephine was involved in many service organizations helping out every where she could. Among the organizations were The Graton flower Club, YLI, VFW and Autumn Leaves. She will be greatly missed by her four children, Sara Spears and her children Mark and Kalani Spears and Lori Roberts (Mike). Terry (Delores) Ahyo and their four children Kailani, (Renee), Troy, Todd, (Lynn) Ahyo and Denise Zierott (Mark). Wayne Fogleman and his four children, Ryan, (Gena), William and Jackie Fogleman and Karin Knapp, (Jim). Ray Fogleman, (Kathy) and their three children, Kelsey Shideler, (Roger), Aaron, (Vickie), and Joel Fogleman. "Nana" to all 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; her brother Chris (Mele) Henderson, and numerous nieces and nephews in both Hawaii and Oregon keep the "Ohana" spirit alive. The Service is being held Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 7983 Covert Lane, Sebastopol.
