The body of James Ransford, who resided in Clariton twenty years ago, was brought back here last week and the funeral was held at the home of his brother-in-law, Jake Slater. The funeral services were conducted Thursday morning by Rev. J. W. LaGrone of the Methodist Church.
James Ransford was 71 years, 3 months, and 10 days old at the time of his death at Hastings, Iowa. Those who survived ar fours sons and a daughter, Ed of Eagle Grove; Jas, William and Fred of Rhea Heights, South Dakota and Mrs. Corad Judah of Hastings, Iowa. Al were present at the funeral.
