Paul L. Diedrich
March 1, 1984 - December 10, 2022

Paul Diedrich, age 38 of Kiel passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Froedtert Medical College of Wisconsin after a brief battle with cancer.

Paul was born on March 1, 1984 to Cheri (Nennig) Diedrich and the late Gary Diedrich. He graduated from Kiel High School with the class of 2004. Paul was employed with Stell's/Blattner's Piggly Wiggly for 14 years before moving to Rick's Piggly Wiggly where he has been employed since 2018 until this passing. He was an active member of the Manitowoc County Special Olympics, participating in their softball and basketball teams for over 15 years. Paul was part of the state winning basketball team multiple times. He was also a lifetime member of the Kiel Area Historical Society which he enjoyed volunteering and grilling at their brat frys.

Paul could be found helping anyone that needed assistance; it could have been cutting lawn, picking up lawn clippings and taking them to the farm, or blowing snow for others in winter. He always looked forward to his days on the farm, whether it was the Toepel's Southwood Dairy or his uncle Rick Nennig and his cousin Nick's farm: Rustic Aire Dairy. Being outdoors doing activities brought him the most joy, especially camping with his nephews, ice fishing with his cousin Nick and woodcutting. When the weather wasn't cooperating, Paul could be found playing Hay Day and Snoopy Pops, gambling or decorating for the holidays.

Paul is survived by his mother: Cheri Diedrich (special friend: Grover Cannon); three siblings: Theresa (Brian) Post, Kimberly (Jared) Muszytowski, and Craig Diedrich; two nephews: Archer and Saxon Post; Paul is further survived by aunts and uncles, many cousins, great aunts and great uncles, other relatives and many more special friends including close neighbors. He was preceded in death by his father: Gary; grandparents: Rosaline "Rosie" Nennig, Milton Bebermeier, and Francis "PeeWee" and Jean Diedrich.

Funeral Services for Paul will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Meiselwitz-Volsltedt-DeTroye Funeral Home (815 6th Street, Kiel) with Deacon Bernard "Pat" Knier officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his father at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery on Monday.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00PM until 3:45PM.

A memorial fund for Paul has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, especially Dr. Nick Gustafson; the MICU nursing staff and Dr. Wong at Froedtert as well as Dr. Einhorn from the Indiana University for assisting with Paul during his time of need. Cheri and his siblings would like to thank Nick Nennig for being right by Paul's side from little on, always encouraging and supporting him, as well as Rick for pushing Paul to be the best he could be.
