Linas Blackington, 65 passed into the arms of the Lord on October 30, 2021. Linas, formerly of Hallstead, PA was a long time resident of Binghamton NY. He was preceded in death by his parents Patricia and Gerald Blackington. Linas was a former employee of the Sheltered Workshop and UHS Wilson Medical Center. He is survived by his brother, John Blackington; sister-in-law, Joyce Blackington; nephew John Blackington; niece Tara Blackington; an extended family including Diane (Alan) Wilmarth, Julie (Shane) Rumage and family, Denise (Brian) Kittle and family, Heather (Carlos) Martinho and family, Jim (Karen) Swartwood and family. Linas was a kind and gentle person with a loving heart. He loved the holidays and would come to his mother's home bearing gifts for all the younger children. A man of very modest means, Linas lived simply but despite those modest means, he always thought of others and took the time and effort to recognize them and extend generosity to them. While his passing creates profound sadness for his family, we are also comforted in the knowledge that today he is resting comfortably in the arms of God. There he shall be forever at peace. Arrangements entrusted to the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA.
