Habiba, the beloved daughter of Mahmoud Abdel Qader and Feda'a Murjan, was killed when an IDF missile struck her home, injuring the rest of her family and ending Habiba's life. Her mother Feda'a, an employee of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, recalls her daughter coloring in front of the TV before the missile hit: "She was holding a colouring brush, not a weapon. She was a child with a lot of dreams.... They killed her dreams and they deprived me from enjoying the light of my beautiful moon."

Habiba dreamed of one day becoming a doctor. She wanted to speak fluent English, become a political activist to inform the rest of the world about the plight of Gaza, and to join the Palestinian children's council for peace. She was at the top of her class in school, especially gifted in mathematics.
