Son of

Willis Morse 1775-1852 &

Lettice Attaway Morse 1782-1857

By J.B. Williams,

Lifetime Heritage Family Member, of Camp Polk/Fort Polk, now called Fort Johnson, Peason Ridge Army Artllery Range, now called Fort Johnson North, Heritage Families Association.

The name is spelled Morse, not Moss.

Simeon's daughter, Emily Morse Self, all of her sibling's spelled their name Morse. Emily Morse Self's brother Gideon Morse, is listed in the 1850 Federal Census, Natchitoches Parish, living with his sister's family.

This Simeon Morse married one time, in Ala. to Martha Deborah Broadway.

These are my 3rd Great-Grandparents.

Any contributor, any genealogist, anyone wants to debate, question, assume, discredit that,

my name is J. B. Williams.

Let me be very clear to anyone,

Peason, the old town, old Peason Sawmill, that was known as Peavy-Wilson Lumber company, is located in the Impact Area 6 of Peason Ridge.

The Peason Community off Highway 118, today, is often referred to as New Peason.

(One person I know and have known for as long as I can remember, Bro. Morris Goins, (Pastor) was born and raised in Old Peason, in the Impact Area 6.

Bro. Morris Goins married Mrs. Nola Faye Haymon,

her father, Elijah Haymon, his father, Lonnie Haymon, his father Henery Haymon.)

There are two, old stone marker's, that have been untouched, and aged with time, Simeon Morse and Deborah Broadway Morse in the Impact Area 6, of Peason Ridge.

Camp Polk was created in 1941 by the US Army

Peason Ridge was created in 1951 by the US Army
