Daisy Juanita Bordoni was born on June 30, 1930 in Canon City, Colorado to Edwin and Elizabeth Allison. Daisy was the third child of six siblings. She spent her early years in Alma, Leadville, and Bonanza. Daisy met and was married to Alexander Bordoni in Leadville. The majority of their lives together, along with their four children, was spent in Lawson, Colorado.
Daisy worked many years at Georgetown Elementary as a teacher's aid. She loved working and supporting the young children. Wanting a year-round job, Daisy went to work for the State of Colorado Workers Compensation Department in downtown Denver. She retired to care for Alex as his health declined.
Daisy fought a long hard battle with Alzheimer 's disease. Daisy passed away peacefully at 1:35 am, September 30, 2019 at Columbine West Health and Rehab in Fort Collins, Colorado. Her family is thankful for the care and love that Daisy received by the staff at Columbine West. Everyone knew her by her smile, sense of humor, and laughter.
