LaVonne Ann Seemann, 79, of Richfield, and formerly of the Lester Prairie area, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.
She was born Dec. 9, 1937, near Grantsburg, WI, to Anna Alvina and David Olson. LaVonne spent her childhood in the Grantsburg area, and graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1955.
She went on to graduate from the Ancker School of Nursing/College of St. Catherine in 1958, which was located in St. Paul.
LaVonne's passion in life was her career as a registered nurse, which spanned over 50 years. She worked in many facets of nursing: hospital, nursing home, and finally, for the last 24 years, owned and operated Richfield Senior Suites, LLC Assisted Living Facility.
LaVonne is survived by her four children: Laurie Slama of Crystal, MerriLea Kyllo (spouse Barry) of Lester Prairie, Bob Seemann (spouse Ayelet) of Eden Prairie, and Paul Seemann of Excelsior.
She was the proud grandmother of Dr. Rachel Braden (Mahlon) of St. Louis, MO, Brad Slama of Minneapolis, Karlea Kyllo of Lester Prairie, and Shani Seemann of Eden Prairie; and great-grandson Calvin Braden.
LaVonne is further survived by two siblings: Harold Olson (Marge) of Bloomington, and Mary Lou Barstow of St. Croix Falls, WI, sister-in-law Winona Olson of Grantsburg, WI, and several nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Curtis Olson, Betty Jane Jack, and twin brother Pete Olson.
Burial will take place in Grantsburg, WI next to her mother and twin brother, with a private graveside memorial service at a later date.
