AZLE - In Loving Memory of Fort Worth Police Sergeant Jon Arden Jenson

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jon Arden Jenson, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Jon departed this world on Saturday, October 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community.

Born on August 18th, 1966, in Clifton, Texas, Jon was known for his quick wit, compassionate heart, and unyielding sense of justice. He was a graduate of Cranfills Gap High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army. Jon was a dedicated Fort Worth Police Sergeant, a devoted husband to Vickie, and a loving father to Skyler and William.

Jon's passion for serving others was evident in every aspect of his life, both professionally and personally. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of duty and honor, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life and career. After his service in the Army, Jon continued to protect and serve his community as a Fort Worth Police Sergeant for 26 years, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the people he served. Jon was a true gentleman, a great conversationalist but also a great listener. He never sought nor expected any recognition or glory.

Jon was not just a protector of the community but also a man of diverse passions and talents. He found solace and adventure on his motorcycles, embraced the strategic complexities of chess, and enjoyed the camaraderie of the golf course. His love for music was expressed through the gentle strumming of his guitar strings, creating melodies that touched the hearts of those around him.

In addition to his love for motorcycles, golf, chess, and music, Jon was a family man at heart. He cherished the moments spent with his wife Vickie and children Skyler and William, creating lasting memories through shared adventures. Jon's heart belonged to his wife and the love of his life, Vickie, whom he respected and admired for her dedication to teaching and her creativity. That heart was filled with love and admiration for his children. He found great joy in the artistic creations of his daughter Skyler, beginning with the first easel he bought for her when she was two years old. He had great pride and admiration for his son William and enjoyed participating in the young Marines, where William excelled. His dedication to his family was unwavering, and his love for them was boundless.

Jon was preceded in death by his Father, Arden Leroy Jenson, his Mother, Geraldine Joyce Jenson, Brother, William Leroy Jenson, and Father-in-law, Donald Connel.

Jon is survived by his loving wife, Vickie, his adoring children, Skyler and William; and his Sister, Vicky Campbell, and Brother-in-law, Ross Campbell. Sister-in-law, Kerrie Neally, and brother-in-law, Peter Neally. Mother-in-law Karen Connel. Numerous nieces and Nephews. He also leaves behind a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will forever be inspired by his spirit, dedication to service, and passion for life.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Fort Worth Police Department for the caring and respect they have shown to Jon's family and the wonderful and caring team of Doctors and Nurses with Texas Health Harris Hospital CVICU who cared for Jon with love and compassion.

A memorial service to honor Jon's life and service will be held on November 2nd, 2023, at 10 am at Capstone Church, 4600 Veterans Pkwy, Benbrook, TX, 76126
