Preceded in death by his father; wife, Donna I. (Ardrey) Anderson; step-mother, Mary E. (Wineland) Anderson; and step-brother, Daniel T. Gottshall. Allen attended the Cathedral Grade School and Altoona High School.
He worked for Penn State Altoona as a landscaper, and enjoyed supervising many student employees over the years. Allen enjoyed building model cars and eating at Eat'n Park. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, where he participated in the charismatic prayer group.
Friends will be received Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Msgr. Stanley Carson celebrant. Committal will be held at the Cathedral. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, An Anderson Family Firm, 1222 13th Avenue, Altoona.
