Alice Faye (Garner) Tierney, age 65, of Littleton, CO passed away Friday September 14, 2018. Alice had suffered cardiac arrest and was unable to recover. She was surrounded by her family and friends at Littleton Hospital when she died.

Alice was born January 3, 1953 in Rome, Georgia to Boyd and Lilla (Blocker) Garner. In March of 1974 she married Anthony H (Tony) Tierney residing in Rome, Georgia, Memphis, Tennessee and finally, in 1978, Littleton, CO. She so loved Colorado she was determined to not move anywhere else. She raised one beautiful daughter, Curry (Tierney) Houck and fawned over her two grand-children. Alice loved to cook and entertain, especially at the holidays. Her ideal holiday meal was to have as many people as possible sit at her table(s) for the feast she prepared. It was not unheard of to have 30 people at Thanksgiving dinner. Family or friend, all were welcome at Alice's table. Those who did sit at her table were treated to the best Mac & Cheese, Stuffing, Bar-B-Que Pork and Smoked Turkey. Her grand-children and daughter always requested her Mac & Cheese be ready for those Holiday gatherings!

After moving to the Denver area in 1978, Alice held positions of Secretary and Administrative Assistant at Gates Rubber Company and Lockheed Martin where she grew as a person as well as professionally. Many of her coworkers she at Lockheed Martin she still considered as friends even though a work-related accident caused her to leave.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Lilla Garner, her two brothers James and Charles Garner and oldest sister Doris Garner. She is survived by her second sister Lanice Garner of Rome, Georgia, her husband Anthony (Tony) Tierney, her daughter Curry (Tierney) Houck and two grand-children, Mira and Sawyer Houck as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
