Andrea, age 83, passed on peacefully at Tufts High Pointe House in Haverhill, Massachusetts on November 1, 2023.
Andrea lived and grew up in Winsted, Connecticut, graduating from The Gilbert School in 1958. She missed her 65th reunion due to her illness. She played clarinet in the band and also played piano, under Mom's tutelage. One of her favorite pieces was Rapsody in Blue. She pursued a career in nursing, graduating from McLean School of Nursing in 1960. Her career spanned 45 years at Somerville Hospital amongst others. She delivered babies, worked in Intensive Care and finally as a surgical nurse. She had the utmost respect for her colleagues and her patients.
During her later years, she became a member of the Rich Family Association of Wellfleet, MA, a genealogical collection of any family with the surname Rich, which was that of her grandmother. Like her sisters, she loved having kitties in her home. Her time was always full of activities with family and friends.
Andrea leaves behind three sons, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces, her former husband, two sisters and many, many extended family and friends.
Burial was on November 8, 2023.
