WOMAN INJURED IN TRUCK COLLISION
A Brooklyn, Mich., woman was hurt seriously about 2:15 p.m. yesterday in a crash after she lost control of her vehicle on U.S. 223 just east of here, Michigan State Police said. Heidi Ann Aiuto, 45, was in critical condition in Medical College of Ohio Hospitals, Toledo.
Witnesses said her westbound vehicle crossed the center line. She over-corrected and went onto the shoulder, then back onto the roadway, where she slid sideways into oncoming traffic. A double-bottom gravel hauling truck traveling east on U.S. 223 near Forrester Road smashed into the vehicle's passenger side, troopers said. The driver of the truck, Jay Shope, 54, of Bowling Green, was not hurt. The accident, which tied up traffic east of Adrian for about two hours, remains under investigation.

Heidi Ann Schlatter-Aiuto, 47, was westbound on U.S. 223 near Adrian on Sept.11 when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a gravel-hauling truck.
