On October 24, 2023, Debra Lynn Blevins, 68, of Burleson, TX, passed away peacefully at home with her beloved husband, sons, family, and best friends by her side. Debra was a faithful woman of Christ and was greeted in heaven on Tuesday afternoon by Jesus saying "welcome home, my good and faithful servant".

Debra, or Debi as she was known by her friends, was born on July 2, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ted and Barbara Glosup. She graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in 1972. A few years later she met and married the love of her life, Roger O'Dell Blevins in March of 1977. Their marriage spanned 46 years together. They raised two sons, Brian and Mike. As a family they went on camping trips, memorable vacations, and attended countless soccer games and band concerts. She was delighted to watch them grow into the wonderful men they have become.

Debi enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing games with the family. She and Roger were known to cheat while playing games at the holidays, rejoicing with youthful laughter when caught. She also enjoyed spending time and taking trips with her best friends, making wonderful memories, and connecting with others… and of course finding great deals along the way. She and her and beloved dog, Potter, enjoyed taking walks and snuggling on the couch spending together. Debi and Roger called Burleson their home for over 40 years, and were very active in their church communities – the Church at Burleson and Pathways.

Helping others was Debi's first love and also her profession. Her keen intellect, work ethic, and passion for serving others led her to receive a Master's in Counseling from TCU. She worked as a teacher and then as a high school counselor for almost 30 years, making a difference in so many young lives in Crowley, Lake Worth, and Burleson. She worked at both Burleson High School and Crossroads High School while at BISD.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Pauline "Mimi" Tharp, William and Ella Glosup, parents,Ted and Barbara Glosup, and her nephew, Paul Giles.

Survived by her husband, Roger Blevins, sons – Brian Blevins and wife, Carmen, Mike Blevins and wife, Lindsey, beloved siblings – Deana Giles and husband, Ronny, Steve Glosup and wife, Sonia, and Teresa Jarrett. Numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua (3407 SW Wilshire Blvd, Joshua TX). Graveside burial immediately afterwards at Burleson Memorial Cemetery.
