Daisy Eugenia Smith
10 SEPTEMBER, 1938 – 22 OCTOBER, 2022
On October 22, 2022, Daisy "Diddy" Smith passed away peacefully with family at her side at the age of 84. She has been reunited with her parents in heaven, Mary and Lawrence Walter, as well as her siblings Sissy, Patsy and Buddy. Daisy is survived by her loving siblings Sug, Linda, and Ricky, as well as her heartbroken children Kathy, Sheri, and Scott. Daisy played a central role in the lives of her grandchildren Nathan, Becky, Rachel, Nicholas, Kane, and Ty, and was blessed with four great grandchildren, Annie, Gabe, Abby, and Kaiyah. Her family's loss is great, and will also be felt by numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Growing up on a farm in Maryland, Daisy learned the meaning of hard work and family. She will be remembered for her fierce independence, her unending generosity, her courageous loyalty and her ability to make us all feel loved. But it was her humor that we will all remember as we cherish our memories of her.
Services for Daisy will be held on November 2, 2022 at 10am in the Chapel of Peace at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Daisy would want memorial donations to be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
