Dick was born in Webb city, Missouri. He had lived in Baxter springs, Ks., for 70 years. He was a driver for Yellow Freight systems Inc. in Baxter where he retired in 1980.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Baxter Springs and the Teamsters union in Joplin, Missouri.

He married Lois (Sansouci) Sansocie on April 22, 1939, in Baxter Springs, Ks. She survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Lawrence Phillip Daniels of Dodge City, Ks. and Paul Richard Daniels of Round Rock, Texas; and one daughter, Lois Diane (Daniels) Wahto of Wichita, Ks., one sister, Nadine Workman of Miami, Ok., eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
