Duffy was born in Des Moines, Iowa and came to live with the Beverly and Harold Harker family in 1960 when he was 3 months old. His new playmates were Sonny,9 yrs,David,7 yrs and Vicki,5yrs old.

He was a good little doggie who loved the kids and enjoyed playing and sleeping with them. He was smart too and learned to sit up and beg, speak and could roll over for a treat. But he never was interested in chasing a stick and returning it. The rattle of the car keys made him excited for a car ride. He loved going to the cabin on Big Wall Lake and exploring. He really loved riding in the front of the motorboat with his ears flapping in the breeze.

He was naughty once when he ran away from home for 3 days, searching for a little girl dog. He was sure tired and hungry when he came back home.

Duffy lived until he was 12 years old and developed a bad heart condition and we had to put him to sleep.

Duffy left for doggie Heaven 36 years ago but I still think of him and miss him, my good friend. He was loved by all who knew him.
