Carrot (sic) C. "Lete" Aldridge, 87 years old, well known resident of Lyons, died suddenly at 12:45 o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home. His death was attributed to a heart attack.

Mr. Aldridge had spent the greater part of his life in the Lyons community. He had served as the Lyons town marshal for a time and had also operated a fruit market on the west edge of Lyons for a time.

Mr. Aldridge was born in Martin County on December 11, 1872, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Aldridge. He was a member of the Lyons Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by one son, Roscoe Aldridge, at home, and four half-sisters, Mrs. Claude Rader and Mrs. J. A. Chatfield, both of Bloomington, Mrs. Fred Rush of Nebraska and Mrs. C. L. Badgley of Michigan.

Mr. Aldridge's body was taken to the Jenkins and Sons Funeral home at Lyons, where, it was announced, friends may call.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Funeral home at Lyons with Voris Carpenter officiating and burial will be made in the Mt. Zion (Dog Island) cemetery.
