A wide circle of friends mourn the loss of Mrs. Nancy Shasteen, of 511 North High Street, who passed away Sunday at her home.
Born Feb. 2, 1870 in Pickaway County, the daughter of William and Mary Murphy, she was one of a family of nine children, all but three of whom have preceded her in death.
In 1887, she married Robert Shasteen, and seven children were born to this union.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dennis Bennett of Yellowbud, Mrs. Hugh Winks and Mrs. George Arledge of Chillicothe, and Mrs. Myrl Croft of Columbus; one son, Mr. Frederick Shasteen of Chillicothe; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hastings and Mrs. George Jones of Williamsport; one brother, Mr. Edward Murphy of Yellowbud; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Springbank Church, the Rev. E. A. Keaton officiating. Interment will be in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence.
