George C. Cressman, age 95, husband of the late Adelheid S. (Kächele) Cressman, of Jackson, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at his residence. Born on March 1, 1928 in Easton, PA, he was a son of Eva (Schumptner) Keim.

Mr. Cressman enlisted in the United States Army at the end of World War II. He honorably served two combat tours in Korea and a tour in Vietnam. After 24 years of service, he retired in 1970 as a Sergeant First Class. Following his retirement from the military, he performed a variety of jobs including truck driving, meat cutting, and time at the railroad. He was a devoted husband and father, and he cherished the time spent with family, especially having the honor of caring for his wife until her passing.

Mr. Cressman is survived by two children, Anita B., wife of the late Michael Grecksch and George C. Jr., husband of Terri Cressman; seven grandchildren, Melissa Grecksch, Stephanie, wife of Josh Fischer, Michael Grecksch, Brian, husband of Jackie Grecksch, Katelyn Cressman, Matthew Cressman, and Matt Cressman; one sister, Betty Kehler; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Alexander E. Cressman; a great-granddaughter, Cecilia Rose Fischer; and three siblings, Paul Baylor, Annamae Long, and Shirley Kehler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Dolores Littleton. Burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Chalfont VFW Post 3258, c/o Post Quartermaster, P.O. Box 243, Chalfont PA 18914.
