Rhet LaMour Ingram passed away on October 12th, 2022 after a long term battle with illness. Rhet was born in Nephi, Utah on June 7th, 1968 to parents Greg and Maxene. He spent his youth in Heber, UT where he enjoyed spending time outdoors, riding dirt bikes and participating in FFA. He graduated from Wasatch High School as the Art Sterling Scholar in 1986. He then married Patye Gai Woodard, and they made their home in Nephi with their two children, Matye and Wyet.
After moving to Nephi, Rhet began working at Salt Creek Signs with his dad. He later took over the family business and had a very successful career. Rhet proudly completed the Utah POST certification and enjoyed volunteering for the Juab County Search and Rescue.
During his lifetime, he had many hobbies and talents. As a young adult, he was an avid jet-ski racer and loved to spend time four-wheeling at the sand dunes. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and worked tirelessly to perfect his artistic skills, especially in pencil drawings and portraits. He loved reading and getting lost in fantasy and sci-fi worlds. Over time, he grew to love the simpler joys in life; tinkering in his shed, fixing and wrenching on vehicles, and the company of his furry companions. Above all, Rhet loved being a father and a grandfather. He was very proud of the accomplishments of both Matye and Wyet, and he never tired of surprising Penelope with gifts whenever he had the chance.
Rhet is survived by his son, Wyet (Carissa) and his granddaughter Penelope Ingram, his siblings Keti (Kyle) Garrett, Jed Ingram, Amber Ingram, Jeanne (Kirk) Crystal, and Lindsey (Bart) Gappmayer. He is also survived by several close aunts and uncles and a dear friend, Samie Gehman.
Rhet's family takes great comfort in knowing he is being reunited with those who have preceded him in death: his daughter Matye Don Ingram, his parents Gregory Ingram, Maxene and Lew Sweat, and his grandparents.
Rhet's life will be celebrated just the way he would want – with a short and simple graveside service on Wednesday, October 19th at noon at the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi. If attending, please feel free to bring a chair.
