ROGER JINDRA
(1940 - 2005)

Roger Jindra, age 64, Crivitz, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005 at a Milwaukee hospital.

He was born Aug. 27, 1940 in Two Rivers to the late Oscar and Viola (Fronk) Jindra. Roger served in the U.S. Navy for six years. On May 20, 1983, he married Rebecca "Becky" Heinritz in Green Bay. He was employed by Packerland Packing in sales for 33 years of dedicated service, retiring in 1999. After retiring, Roger and Becky enjoyed spending winters at their home in Arizona. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Legion 66, both in Crivitz. Roger and his cat, Taz, volunteered for the town of Stephenson Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, NASCAR, golfing, caring for his yard, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Throughout his own battle with cancer, Roger helped many other cancer patients with words of encouragement and support. Roger was a very remarkable man who touched the lives and hearts of everyone he came into contact with. He will always be remembered for the pranks and jokes he placed on so many people.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years: Becky; one son: Bary Jindra, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Larry White, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Cody, Timber and Tanner White; one stepson: Scott Heinritz; one sister and brother-in-law: Joyce "Tootie" and Ruben Peserik, Two Rivers; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and last, but not least, his beloved cats, Taz and Trapper.

In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Jim Jindra.
