Aunt Docia James, the venerable relict of Berry F. James, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bettie Belt in Sisco Chapel neighborhood Sunday night at eight o'clock of heart failure. She was in her usual health and the fatal attack came without warning. Her death was a great shock to her children and many friends. She is survived by four children, W. B. James, candidate for jailer of this city; Thos. N. James, Herron Ills.; Marvin James of Hampton, Ky.; and, Mrs. Pres. Belt, at whose home she died. Mrs. James was an Agee before her marriage and was born in Smith County, Tenn, Feb. 4, 1846.
She and her husband located in this county early in the 70's and she had lived in this vicinity about 45 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church and her remains were laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery Monday, Rev. J. A. Hunt officiating.
