THOMAS BEARD IS CALLED BY DEATH

After an illness of three weeks resulting from a fall sustained at his home at Limestone Hill, Thomas Beard, aged 72, died Sunday evening.

Mr. Beard had been entirely well and three weeks ago on getting out of bed fell down the stairs, receiving injuries which made him unconscious, and he never rallied out of that condition. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Beard, long deceased, and a brother of William Beard of this city. He was born, reared and death came to him in the old family home in which he had passed his entire life. He followed the avocation of a farmer and a man of upright character was held in the highest regard by the community in which he lived.

Mr. Beard is survived by his wife Mrs. Georgia Crow Beard, and one son Harry, living at home, by one brother, William Beard, and by two sisters Mrs. Harry Hammond and Mrs. Platt Jenne, both of Portland, Ore.

Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made pending word from his sisters.
