Born June 8, 1936 in Dubois, PA, she was the daughter of the late George H. Sr. and Lillian M. (Davis) Stahlnecker.
She is survived by her sons: Craig and his partner, Michelle Mossbrooks; Cliff and his wife, Robbin; Brian and his partner Bernie Delong; and Bruce; nephew, Blair, and niece Sandra Bunce; five grandchildren: Brandon, Zack, Dani, Cory, and Chase; and two great-granddaughters, Addison and Laurelyn.
The last of her generation, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Emma "Jane" Crawford, Blanche (Harriger) Bolam, John Stahlnecker, Madge Corle, George Stahlnecker, and Helen Molnar.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George E. Cessna.
She was a wildlife rehabilitator, a taxidermist, and a homemaker. She was a brilliant poet, an extraordinary gardener, and a fine sewer of teddy bears. She educated countless students and scouts on nature and wildlife. She was never without a dog or a cat by her side.
There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
