Herman was born Hyman Abrahams in Whitecastle, Middlesex Co (now Greater London), England. He was my 3rd great uncle. His father, Emanuel became a US citizen in 1886.

I was told in a 1994 conversation with his daughter Dorothy, that when their mother Ida died, she was buried in Bergen Co, NJ, and she and her sisters erected a double gravestone for both their parents.
