Michael Craig Cecil, age 74, of Englewood, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 19, 1949 to Alfred Leon & Patricia Ann (Barker) Cecil in Sidney, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Tom Yates. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Ann (Corrello) Cecil of 30 years; daughters Kim (Mark) Woolery of West Milton and Kelly (Scott) DeGaro of Savannah, GA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Sue Yates of Covington; brother-in-law & special friend Robert "Skip Corrello and Traci Bragg of West Milton.

Mike served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church where he was head of the SPPRC committee, co-chaired Wednesday Bible Study, was instrumental in starting 4 men's groups. He was a member of the St. Mary's Boat Club and past member of the Sidney and Englewood Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Mike loved sailing, devout Bible reading, and collected books, Light Houses and Model Sailboats.

A memorial service to remember Mike's life will be held at a later date in the spring. Arrangements are in care of Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, West Milton. Memorial contributions may be made to Vandalia United Methodist Church or SICSA. Online memories of Mike may be left for the family at www.hale-sarver.com.
