Annette 'Ann' Darline Short, aged 81, passed away on November 18, 2023. She was born to Luke and Darline (Oldham) Disch, on May 13, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA. In 1965, she settled in the area after graduating from St. Mary's Academy and pursuing her education in Cosmetology. Annette's passion led her to establish and operate Ann's House of Beauty in Noel, Missouri. On November 22, 1967, she was united in marriage to Ronald Leland Short, a loving partnership until his passing on February 1, 2005. Her life was an embodiment of joyous activities, from cooking and canning to nurturing a beautiful garden. Annette had a knack for crocheting and knitting. She cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children Ronald Short and Tiffany of Racine, Maria Bohannon and husband Jamie of Neosho, Tonya Hatfield and husband Stephen of Seneca, Donald Short and wife Desara of Granby, and her sister Jeanette Rossi of San Bernardino, CA. She leaves behind a legacy carried by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her beloved parents and husband.
The family is receiving friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Clark Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at St. Canera Catholic Church in Neosho, MO, followed by a graveside ceremony at Noel Cemetery.
