Coach Jerry Edward Flatt, age 86, of Lebanon, TN, died November 18, 2023. Jerry was born in Nashville, TN and was the son of the late Andy and Claire Flatt. He was a beloved and well respected teacher and coach. Coach Flatt served as the offensive coordinator for the Austin Peay State University Football team before moving to Mt. Juliet, where he coached football and baseball at Mt. Juliet High School. He was also a member of Cook's United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted 12 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Bond Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers. Former teammates, players and coaches will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilson County Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 490 Industrial Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday and 11-12 Monday at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122.
