Funeral services for Sedley Buster Tabor, 86, of Dayton, TN, who passed away Feb. 6, 1998, in Parkridge Medical Center, Chattanooga, were held Feb. 9 from the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial in Tabor Memorial Gardens, Crossville.
He was born in Cumberland County, the son of the late James Monroe and Charity Angeline Phillips Tabor. Mr. Tabor moved to the Rhea County area 25 years ago from Muncie, IN. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and of the Church of God faith. He retired from General Motors where he was employed as an auto assembler.
Survivors include his stepdaughters, Betty Winkle of Dayton, TN, Edna Symons of St. Charles, MI, and Doris Becker of Saginaw, MI; stepson, Marcus Lewis of Dayton; sister, Rissie Davis of Crossville; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the husband of the late Myrtle Lou Tabor.
Dr. Charles H. Robinson officiated.
