Aggie was a young girl brought from the West Indies to Portsmouth NH by Captain Mark Hunking Jr on one of his voyages about 1749-50. She went with the Hunking family to Barrington NH. She served Captn Hunking in his old age and after his death resided with Parson Balch, pastor of the Congregational Church until he died in 1815. After his death she was boarded out with the Winkley and Foss families of Barrington. Apparently none of her masters provided for her in old age as she became a town charge.
It was remembered that she nursed the town sick who suffered contagious diseases and was always in service to others. It is not known exactly when she was born nor died but she was thought to be about 100 years of age and was about 11 years of age when she arrived from the West Indies with Captn Hunking in 1749 or 1750.
